YMCA Picnic in North Shields Kicks Off the Month in Style
Held on 7 June as part of the North Shields 800 heritage celebrations, the YMCA Picnic drew families and locals alike to Northumberland Square for a day of fun, music, and community spirit.
With live music acts, raffles, street food and even a children’s fun run, the atmosphere was buzzing. Our team at Dunes Event Group provided staging that gave performers a professional platform and helped bring the whole square to life.
For the kids, we delivered all the thrills with our fun fair hire setup — complete with classic rides that kept the little ones smiling and active all afternoon.
Bishop Auckland Pride: A Colourful Celebration of Diversity
Fast forward to 14 June, and Bishop Auckland College was transformed into a rainbow hub of creativity and celebration for the return of Bishop Auckland Pride.
With standout performances including Drag Race star Danny Beard, a Jess Glynne tribute, ABBA experience, and even the Vengaboys, the stage was set for a day to remember, and once again, Dunes Event Group delivered.
Our fun fair hire team was on hand to provide crowd-pleasing rides and a safe, fun environment for families and kids of all ages. The addition of these rides and our reliable staging helped ensure the event felt polished, exciting, and inclusive from start to finish.
From stilt walkers to face painting and karaoke, it was a full-on family day, with a clear message of love, acceptance, and pride.
