Bounce Extreme at Hardwick Hall: A Sold-Out Weekend and a Bank Holiday Return

It is safe to say Bounce Extreme is well and truly back. After a two-year break, we brought the event back to the beautiful grounds of Hardwick Hall Hotel in Sedgefield, and the response was something else entirely. Both days sold out, the sun came out, and hundreds of families spent their weekend exactly as a summer weekend should be spent.

Here is a look back at what made it such a great weekend, and why we are heading back to Hardwick Hall for one final date this summer.

A Weekend That Delivered

From the moment the gates opened on the Saturday morning, the energy on site was brilliant. Families arrived early, children made a beeline for the inflatables, and the grounds of Hardwick Hall did what they always do. They looked stunning.

The weather played its part too. Temperatures averaged around 20 degrees across the weekend, warm enough to make it feel like a proper summer day out, with a cool breeze that kept things comfortable for the parents sitting in the sunshine keeping an eye on the kids. It was one of those weekends where everything just came together.

With three two-hour sessions running each day, families had plenty of flexibility to choose a time that suited them. Each session gave children the full run of the inflatables for the duration, with no queuing for individual rides and no paying per go.

One ticket, two hours, unlimited bounce. That formula works, and the sell-out crowds proved it.

The Setting Made the Difference

Hardwick Hall Hotel is one of County Durham's finest venues, set within sweeping parkland on the outskirts of Sedgefield. Hosting Bounce Extreme in those grounds gave the event a feeling that a car park or leisure centre simply cannot replicate. The space was generous, the backdrop was beautiful, and the whole site felt like it had been designed for exactly this kind of day.

Hardwick's own catering team were on hand throughout the weekend serving pulled pork sandwiches, BBQ food, and cold drinks. For parents looking to make a proper afternoon of it, that added an extra layer to what was already a great day out.

What the Kids Got Up to

The inflatables setup covered everything children could want from a day like this. Large-scale slides, bounce areas, and kids' rides filled the field, giving younger visitors plenty to work through across their two-hour session. For under 14s, it was a proper play day with no restrictions on how many times they could go on each attraction.

Adults attended free of charge, with no tickets required. The only rule was that adults were not permitted to use the attractions unless assisting a child, keeping the setup exactly as it was intended, a day built entirely around the kids.

Coming Back for Bank Holiday Monday

Due to popular demand, Bounce Extreme is returning to Hardwick Hall Hotel for one day only on Monday 31st August, Bank Holiday Monday. It is the perfect way to close out the summer holidays before the school run starts again.

The format is exactly the same. Three sessions across the day at 10am, 12 noon, and 2pm, each running for two hours. Tickets are £15 per child, plus a £1.50 booking fee. Adults go free. The event is suitable for under 14s, and the last entry is at 4pm.

Sessions will sell out, just as they did across the original weekend. If you want to secure a spot for your family, do not leave it too late.
